The phrase ‘Big Five’ was coined by hunters and refers to the five most difficult animals in Africa to hunt on foot. The collection consists of the lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino. The members of the Big Five were chosen for the difficulty in hunting them and the degree of danger involved, rather than their size.

A limited number of the original wildlife paintings of the Big Five animals done by our Resident Artist are printed on the A4 size SCARAB handmade paper. These A4 size prints with its unique texture are highly sought after and it is the ideal frame-able gift from South Africa. The prints are mounted on a 2mm thick mountboard in a selection of colours (black, brown, blue, green, maroon and cream), is packaged in a see-through polyprop jacket and measures approximately 300mm wide x 390mm high.
